Terms of Service

Last updated: September 26, 2026

EMIT Center provides AI-powered learning, skills, and certification programs. By using the platform you agree to the terms below.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any EMIT Center service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are creating an account for a child under 13, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and that you consent to the child's use of the platform as required by COPPA.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it updated. One person may hold separate student, parent, instructor, and administrator accounts where appropriate for their role.

3. Children and Parental Consent (COPPA)

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Users under 13 require verified parental consent before they can use interactive features. A parent may verify consent, review the child's information, request its deletion, and revoke consent at any time from the privacy settings page or by contacting support.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform: no harassment, hateful or threatening content, spam, off-topic posting, attempts to access other accounts, or activity that disrupts the experience of other users. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this policy.

5. Courses, Payments, and Refunds

Course fees are shown at checkout and charged in advance. Enrollment grants access for the course duration. Refunds are issued only where required by applicable law or as determined by our staff on a case-by-case basis. Promotional discounts, waitlist transitions, and enrollment changes are governed by the pricing shown at the time of purchase.

6. AI-Assisted Learning

Some courses use AI to generate content, grade essays, and provide feedback. AI output may occasionally contain errors, and instructors may review or override AI-generated grades. AI assistance is a learning aid, not a substitute for your own work.

7. Intellectual Property

Course content, software, and branding are owned by EMIT Center. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access the content for learning purposes. You may not resell or redistribute it.

8. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from privacy settings; a 30-day grace period applies before permanent deletion (see the Privacy Policy). We may restrict or terminate access for accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.

10. Contact
